Inactive Facilities
This dataset provides information about inactive hazardous materials facilities in San Diego County associated with a Unified Program Facilities Permit. All facilities in the County of San Diego that generate, handle, or store regulated medical waste, hazardous waste, or hazardous materials are required by law to obtain a permit regulated by the County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health Hazardous Materials Division. In general, a facility permit may become inactive when there is a change of owner or business location, the facility operation changes and they are no longer subject to permitting requirements, or the facility no longer exists. This information is extracted from the land use and environment database, Accela, used for San Diego County permitting, inspecting, and similar operations. This dataset is intended for public access, use, and education. For a description of this data, see [Inactive Facilities metadata] (https://www.sandiegocounty.gov/content/dam/sdc/deh/hmd/pdf/DEH_HMD_Inactive_Facilities_Metadata.pdf). If additional information is needed please see our [Public Records Request webpage] (https://www.sandiegocounty.gov/content/sdc/deh/doing_business/records.html).
