Beach and Bay Postings
This dataset provides information about all San Diego County beach and bay postings including advisories and closures for the years 2015-current. In general, advisories are issued when beach water quality may exceed state health standards while closures are issued when sewage or other chemical spills impact or can potentially impact beach water quality. Precautionary advisories are not included in this dataset. This information is managed by the County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health Land and Water Quality Division, where data is extracted from the State Water Quality Control Board’s Beach Watch system.
